MONTELUKAST

Brand name: Singulair

Montelukast (brand name Singulair) is a leukotriene receptor antagonist which is used for the maintenance treatment of asthma and to relieve symptoms of seasonal allergies. Singulair is used to prevent asthma attacks in adults and children as young as 12 months old. Montelukast is also used to relieve runny nose and sneezing caused by allergies in adults and children as young as 6 months old. Because of its method of operation, Singulair is not useful for the treatment of acute asthma attacks. Montelukast is also used to prevent exercise-induced bronchoconstriction in people who are not already taking this medicine for other conditions.

Generic Singulair 5mg / 10mg / 4mg

What are montelukast tablets?

MONTELUKAST (Singulair®) helps to reduce asthma symptoms (coughing, wheezing, shortness of breath, or chest tightness) and control your asthma. It does not provide instant relief and cannot be used to treat a sudden asthma attack. It works only when used on a regular basis to help reduce inflammation and prevent asthma attacks. Montelukast is effective in adults and children. This drug is also helpful in improving seasonal allergies, like hay fever.

What should I tell my health care provider before I take this medicine?

They need to know if you have any of these conditions:
an acute asthma attack

phenylketonuria
an unusual or allergic reaction to montelukast, other medicines, foods, dyes, or preservatives

Therefore, you should always have your "quick-relief" medicine with you to treat an asthma attack. Talk with your prescriber about what you should do if you have an acute asthma attack.

Tell your prescriber or health care professional if your symptoms do not improve or if your asthma gets worse. If you find that your medicines become less effective in treating your asthma, you should contact your health care professional as soon as possible.

Do not to stop taking or decrease the use of your other asthma treatments, including steroids, when starting montelukast unless otherwise directed by their health care prescriber. Follow your prescriber's directions exactly.

Montelukast works best if you use it regularly even when you do not have asthma symptoms. Do not stop using your medication without your prescriber's advice.

If you are going to have surgery, tell your health care professional that you take montelukast.

Frequently asked questions:

What is a generic drug?

Generic medication is a medicine which is chemically equivalent to a brand-name product, but available under its generic chemical name. Generic medication is identical (bio-equivalent) to its branded drug equivalent in dosage form, safety, strength, route of administration, quality, performance characteristics and intended use. Generic drugs are manufactured by certified producer. Mind that the pills you will receive from us differ in appearance from the brand name ones. The looks of medications as well as brand names are the intellectual property of the brand manufacturer. Thus to avoid any accusation of copyright infringement we have to change the shape and the color of the generic pills as well as use the name of the active ingredient (generic name) instead of the brand name for printing on pills. Please be aware that the generic pills differ in appearance from the brand name medications. Our pills are round shaped and blister packed (10 pills per each blister). The name of the active ingredient as well as the weight are specified on the pill itself.

Why are generic pills cheaper than the brand name ones?

The price difference between generic and brand is determined by a prime cost. Manufacturers of brand product spend huge amounts of money on research, testing, medical observation and analysis, marketing, branding and advertising. Producers of generic drugs only need to spend money for purchasing a chemical formula. So, you can get high quality drugs at a low price. Buy cheap Montelukast (Singulair) online.
